Salvation in Portland
As the crowd yelled that I was an unloving man who pushed people away from God, there came up a gentleman begging “What do I need to do to get right with God?!” The best words a Christian can hear from a sinner. He was convicted of his sin, and wanted to get on the path to God immediately. I told him to cry out to God and when he did I prayed for him.
Some time later up came a young man named Reggie who began to weep because he was living two lives. He too needed to become honest with God. He said he was drawn to this place where we were, and that my sign convicted him to repent or perish. I told him if he was honest with God, God would be honest with him. He agreed with all that I said, and I prayed for him.
Finally, a young man named Mario came and told me that I was preaching the truth. He said he wanted to be delivered. We engaged in deep conversation and of course, I prayed with him.
At the end of the night a man attacked me, smashing me on my head with a heavy bag. The devil does not like the preaching of God’s word. Please pray for my head, and for the people who gave themselves to God so that they continue in His ways. Also, please pray for the man who attacked me, he needs God more than ever.
